At E.P., many people are involved in voluntary work, either through an organization or independently. We highlighted this commitment at our festive Christmas party at the Linse cultural center in Weingarten: six fantastic projects from a wide range of social organizations were presented by colleagues who are actively involved in these organizations. The projects in detail are: training for bereavement counselors and a bereavement café for the bereaved – Ravensburg Outpatient Hospice Group; an animal sanctuary for animals that would otherwise have nowhere else to go – Argenhof near Amtzell; Christmas theater by children for children – Gesellschaft Moment e.V. Ravensburg; repair and expansion of the vehicle fleet – Malteser Hilfsdienst e.V. Ravensburg/Weingarten, organization of the annual altar server retreat – Ministranten St. Martin Aulendorf, brass band class at Hergatz Elementary School – brass bands from Wohmbrechts and from Maria-Thann.
We are very proud of the commitment of our colleagues, who contribute their knowledge, talents, and passion in their free time to make these valuable offerings possible. We are therefore delighted to be able to support each of these projects with €500 from the proceeds of our Christmas raffle.
In addition to the volunteer work carried out by our colleagues, we are delighted to be making another donation this year to the Ravensburg-based association Brennessel e.V. – Hilfe gegen sexuellen Missbrauch (Help against sexual abuse), which offers specialist counseling on sexual violence in childhood and adolescence at counseling centers in Ravensburg and Biberach/Riß, as well as online. As we have done for many years, we are supporting this important work with a donation of €2,000, thereby contributing to the provision of stable counseling services on this difficult and painful topic in the Upper Swabia region.
None of our donations would be possible without our staff, who attended our Christmas party in large numbers and eagerly purchased raffle tickets. Many thanks to everyone who took part!
